With a simple pressing a button in the cab, you turn on the bag to bag air bypass. Your BOSS load assist kit will now work well when 4 wheel driving to give you upward wheel travel and increased droop or downward travel.

This is achieved by our ball valve being electrically opened or closed opening the airlines between the left and right side airbags. Now the air can move freely between the 2 airbags.

Ideal for rocky 4 wheel drive terrain.

Kit comes with:

1 x Electrically operated Ball Valve with 1/4" Push-lock Fittings

2 x 1/4" push-lock T pieces

2 mtrs of DOT approved 1/4" Air Line

1x LED latching on/off button switch

Warning – This kit should only be activated when in an off road environment and not for speeds in excess of 10KPH

Frequently asked questions

What components make up an air management system?

An air management system typically includes a compressor, air tank, valves or a valve block, pressure sensors or switches, airlines, a control unit or switches, and in full air setups, height sensors. Together they control how air is delivered to the airbags or struts and how the system maintains or adjusts ride height.

Do I need a tank for automatic ride levelling?

Yes. Any automatic ride-levelling or preset height system requires an air tank so there is enough stored air to raise the vehicle quickly without overworking the compressor. The tank buffers demand and allows smoother, more reliable height changes.

What is the difference between manual and electronic air management?

Manual systems use simple paddle valves or switches to control air pressure by feel, and are typically used for Load Assist or basic custom setups. Electronic systems use solenoid valves, height sensors and an ECU to manage presets and maintain ride height automatically. Legal full-air conversions generally require some form of automatic height control.

Why must some adjustments be disabled while driving?

Regulations typically require that major ride-height changes do not occur while the vehicle is in motion. Electronic air management systems usually monitor handbrake or vehicle speed and only allow height changes when stationary or below a defined speed, to maintain safety and stability.

What is the primary function of the Electric Articulation Kit?

The Electric Articulation Kit allows for air bypass between left and right airbags, enhancing upward wheel travel and droop when off-roading. This is particularly beneficial in rocky terrains where increased articulation is required.

How does the kit operate?

The kit operates via an electrically controlled ball valve that opens or closes the airlines between the airbags. This enables air to move freely between the left and right sides, improving suspension performance during off-road driving.

What speed limitations should I be aware of when using this kit?

It is crucial to only activate the Electric Articulation Kit in off-road environments and not at speeds exceeding 10KPH. This ensures safe operation and prevents potential damage to the system.

Is this kit compatible with all Boss Load Assist kits?

The Electric Articulation Kit is designed to work with Boss Load Assist kits that utilise airbag suspension. However, it is advisable to confirm compatibility with your specific setup before installation.

Can I use this kit on my tandem axle trailer?

This kit is primarily designed for vehicles with airbag suspension. While it can enhance articulation for off-road vehicles, it is not specifically intended for tandem axle trailers. For trailers, consider using airbag systems designed for load leveling and stability.
