The Boss Auto Pressure Controller is an in-cab control system for compatible Boss Load Assist airbag kits. It connects to an ARB air compressor and lets you adjust airbag pressure on each side independently from the driver's seat.

Three programmable memory presets let you save pressure settings for unloaded driving, towing or carrying a load. Set pressure for the vehicle, load and airbag kit according to the relevant instructions; this controller does not increase the vehicle's legal payload, GVM or towing capacity.

The kit includes the fittings and a water trap to help reduce moisture entering the system. Confirm that your existing airbag kit and ARB compressor are compatible before ordering; contact Boss Air Suspension if fitment needs checking.

Features & Benefits

  • Designed for ARB compressors – Connects to a compatible ARB compressor.
  • In-cab adjustment – Change airbag pressure from the driver's seat.
  • Independent left/right adjustment – Adjust each side separately to help level the vehicle.
  • Three memory presets – Save and recall pressure settings for different loads.
  • Fittings and water trap included – Supplied as part of the kit.

Use this controller to manage pressure in a compatible Boss Load Assist airbag setup. For vehicle or system compatibility advice, check the vehicle application guide or contact Boss Air Suspension before ordering.

Frequently asked questions

What components make up an air management system?

An air management system typically includes a compressor, air tank, valves or a valve block, pressure sensors or switches, airlines, a control unit or switches, and in full air setups, height sensors. Together they control how air is delivered to the airbags or struts and how the system maintains or adjusts ride height.

Do I need a tank for automatic ride levelling?

Yes. Any automatic ride-levelling or preset height system requires an air tank so there is enough stored air to raise the vehicle quickly without overworking the compressor. The tank buffers demand and allows smoother, more reliable height changes.

What is the difference between manual and electronic air management?

Manual systems use simple paddle valves or switches to control air pressure by feel, and are typically used for Load Assist or basic custom setups. Electronic systems use solenoid valves, height sensors and an ECU to manage presets and maintain ride height automatically. Legal full-air conversions generally require some form of automatic height control.

Why must some adjustments be disabled while driving?

Regulations typically require that major ride-height changes do not occur while the vehicle is in motion. Electronic air management systems usually monitor handbrake or vehicle speed and only allow height changes when stationary or below a defined speed, to maintain safety and stability.

What is the primary function of the Boss Auto Pressure Controller?

The Boss Auto Pressure Controller allows for in-cab adjustability of your Boss Load Assist airbag kit. It enables you to increase or decrease airbag pressure independently for each side of your vehicle, providing precise control without needing to exit the vehicle.

Can I use the Auto Pressure Controller with compressors other than ARB?

No, the Boss Auto Pressure Controller is specifically designed to integrate with ARB compressors. Using it with other brands may lead to compatibility issues and is not recommended.

What are the benefits of having three memory presets?

The three memory presets allow you to save and quickly recall your preferred airbag pressure settings for different situations, such as unloaded driving, towing, or carrying heavy loads. This feature enhances convenience and ensures optimal vehicle performance based on your specific needs.

How does the water trap benefit the system?

The included water trap helps prevent moisture build-up in the air system, protecting both the compressor and the airbags from potential damage. This contributes to the long-term reliability and performance of your air suspension setup.

Is installation of the Auto Pressure Controller straightforward?

Yes, the kit comes with all required fittings for installation, making it a complete solution for integrating with your ARB compressor. However, proper installation is crucial to ensure optimal performance, so following the provided instructions carefully is recommended.
